Music and the smell of butter and sugar waft into the kitchen where mom dances to the beat while beating together a mixture in the bowl. A cool breeze gently tousles the curtains through the open window, and you join her in her two-step dance around the kitchen.

She spins you around and sings into the cake batter covered wooden spoon as you sing and dance along. You eye the zested lemons and sugar granules scattered across the counter top and the song fades into the next one. Mom pops the loaf pan half-filled with the batter into the oven.

Finally, the cake is ready. She swats your hand away as you greedily grab for it, telling you to wait for it to cool. You watch in rapture as she makes the iced glaze, the icy white ribbons form a pool of sugary goodness and finally, the loaf is cool enough. As she tips it out of the pan and onto the cooling rack to glaze it, the butter and lemon blend into a tantalizing mixture that is quintessential summer.

As you bite into the slice of loaf, she twirls you, Dancing in the Kitchen with you.

Scent profile: lemon peel, lemon, butter, sugar, vanilla, cake

Small batch, hand poured, pure yellow beeswax candle with a crackling wooden wick and bamboo lid in an apothecary style amber jar.

Beeswax burns longer than other types of waxes and is a sustainable resource that helps promote bees populations. Our candles burn for an average of 45 hours.

We recommend that you remove the stamp before burning the candle. This will prolong the look of the candle, as it runs the risk of melting as the candle burns and could ruin the aesthetic of the candle over time if left on.

You can also reuse or recycle the container for home use when the candle is done to keep the Earth a bit greener.

For best use, trim the wick before every burn and allow about 3 hours at a time, or until the wax pool hits the side of the jar to prevent tunneling and sooting.
